Even as the right of an individual to choose his job and destination has to be respected, it has to be borne in mind that the company which has hired him or her also has the right to legally block the job-hopping spree if the minimum time frame, as signed in the job contract, is not respected.
I fully support the views expressed in this column against job-hoppers and the call for banning visas for such selfish and irresponsible rolling stones.
There must be a code of conduct for employers too, which would stipulate not hiring a person who has reneged on his duration of employment with his former employer.
A little regulation will definitely go a long way for a just employer-employee relationship, which will benefit both parties.
