It's time for peace talks

I am dismayed at Khaleej Times publishing pictures of Pakistanis celebrating the downing of an Indian fighter plane (Feb 28). KT is reputed globally for taking the lead for innumerable humanitarian causes both locally and internationally. Hence, I was shocked at this uncalled-for celebratory picture. I should say it was in poor taste. This is the time when every effort should be made to ensure that both countries tone down their rhetoric and desist from any armed conflict. Peace talks between the two countries is the only way out.
