Iraq’s plight and the West

This is what happens when the West gets involved in stuff it shouldn’t. We drew up these ridiculous lines for Iraq after World War I.

We created a country of from three distinct states: Mosul, Baghdad and Basra. So we put them together. And as long as there was a brutal dictator at the helm to beat everyone into submission, things maintained some semblance of stability.

Get rid of the dictator and you get the mess there is today. We ought to just leave them to figure out their own borders.
