Worldwide women continue to contribute to social, economic, cultural and political achievements. International Women's Day is all about the celebration, reflection, advocacy and action of women's services and immense contribution.
The theme this year is 'pledge for parity', to take concrete steps to help gender equality and develop a more inclusive culture. The progress towards parity has slowed down in many places. It needs a face-lift. Women's empowerment is possible when things change from mere talk to purposeful action.
