With gusto, we were eagerly waiting for the month of Ramadan, and when it stepped in, we cheerfully welcomed this month, and after a month of fasting we are ready for a farewell to Ramadan. Did we renew and recharge faith or are we just waited for the last day to say good-bye to Ramadan, and slip into the atmosphere of Eid preparations and celebrations?
As Ramadan ends, even the glow of our faith declines. Deferred prayers, sometimes totally neglecting it, the pattern of our lives alters. Our old lifestyles regain its hue, and we fall again into the show of worldliness, and returning to sins, with vain gossips, quarrelsome issues, idle talks and ill thoughts.
Prior to Eid celebrations, let’s make a pause for few moments to recall what we have done in this month. How our actions have influenced our attitude and work-life? In fact, the real winners, in the end, are those who had spent the month of Ramadan doing righteous deeds, and in a state of humility and repentance.
