Drivers, be vigilant

Kudos to the RTA in Dubai for the immaculately maintained roads and the excellent infrastructure. Every facility is in place for motorists, cyclist and pedestrians. But, in spite of all this, it is unfortunate that the emirate ranks among the top when it comes to accidents. The recent slight fall in the number of accidents is because of the strict rules and the well maintained, well directed and well signaled roads. I request all drivers to be vigilant. After all, the safety of the vehicle depends on the person driving it. As rightly pointed out in the Nano Edit (KT 11) heavy rush leads to rashness while driving which in turn results in accidents. This does not go well with what Dubai stands for. If care is taken by drivers, the Dubai can come to the forefront for the least number of accidents. That will be an additional feather in Dubai's cap.
