Pets, in many cases, are companions to humans - living with us through thick and thin. But there are many cases when people leave their pets behind when they go on vacation, or leave the country. This is shocking and disgraceful. These pets, foreign to street life, meet an unfortunate demise in many cases. Some are run over by cars, others die of hunger when their owners leave them for good.
These abandoned animals can also do harm if they turn aggressive. They can also cause accidents on the road. Pets are the responsibility of humans. They have life. If people cannot take care of them, they should not own them. Cruelty to animals should stop.
