Distracted driving requires fines

It is great that the country is coming down heavily on distracted drivers. It has always scared me to watch people chatting with their eyes fixed on the phone instead of on the road. One wrong move and it could lead to a disaster.
It is even more disturbing to see children peeping out of the windows. Recently I happened to see a little boy standing up on the seat of the car and leaning out of the sun roof while his father was driving at top speed. How dangerous could that be. Now drivers will have to cough up Dh800 if they do anything that distracts attention from the road. And that is great news.
