Debate on India's national language
I feel, language is a medium of communication (Why one-nation, one-language is bad for diversity; KT, Sept 17). Hence the easiest language should be chosen for all sorts of communication. This way we can save a lot of money and time.

*The ongoing debate in India on Hindi as the national language of the country is puzzling. How can a country that values diversity as its strength argue for one language to be adopted nationally. A good politician, public leader should respect all communities, avoid provocative and offensive statements and maintain the dignity of the constitution at all costs.
