Ceasefire in Syria
The ceasefire in Syria has proven to be nothing more than an absolute farce. Even on the first day of Eid Al Adha — the very first day of the cessation in the hostilities — the security forces shot at protesters in Derra.
And now at least 10 people have been killed in a car bombing in the Syrian capital Damascus on the fourth day of the so-called ceasefire.
Moreover, government jets have been bombing parts of Syria. The ceasefire was doomed even before it was enacted because it is unnatural to expect two headstrong adversaries, who want nothing more than the complete destruction of each other, to lay down arms.
