With his Talaash, Aamir Khan — the perfectionist actor and social activist — for the first time in his 20-year career, failed to secure multiple nominations, ending a long streak of consecutive near shoo-ins to capture a trophy. But this doesn’t quite matter too much since the thespian never attends the prestigious ceremony.

Even Jab Tak Hai Jaan, despite big names like Yash Chopra, Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif attached to the film, didn’t do well at the awards.

This is surely disappointing for the YRF camp, whose productions always grab many trophies. Looks like these three faired better at the box office than the awards, raking in crores. Filmmakers seemed to be more obsessed with earning money than bagging major awards.
