Recently I received a whatsapp message from a private school in Ajman claiming that it is the best in Ajman. As I was looking for a school for my child, I researched about the one mentioned in the message and found that the school's claim was based on some rankings by a website in Bengaluru, India. How can schools advertise based on rankings by a website that neither has offices in the UAE nor a team to conduct a survey. I also found out that the school had opened just a year ago.
I request the Ministry of Education to look into such bogus claims. The authorities should regulate the way schools advertise and disseminate information. Inspections and rankings by Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority are quite thorough. Perhaps, we need a similar system for Ajman.
