Assad in control?

Syrian President Bashar Al Assad looks set to recapture more territory from the rebels after the truce. He's the biggest gainer of the ceasefire agreed to by the United State and Russia. The Syrian president will use the lull in fighting to consolidate his power. He is already talking of taking back all of Syria. Russia now has the edge over the United States in Middle East matters.
