I am amazed to read about Anupriya Lakra who has become the first female pilot from a Maoist-hit area in Odisha, India. She belongs to a backward tribal district. She quit her engineering studies in the middle of session and joined an aviation academy in 2012 in Bhubaneswar and was passionate to become a pilot. Now after seven years she is ready to join a private airline as a co-pilot. Her father is a junior officer in in Odisha police and mother is a housewife. They are proud of their daughter. Odisha Chief Minister has also praised Anupriya's dedication and efforts. I think she deserves an award from the government for her hard work. Her determination and capabilities will certainly encourage many others.
