An excellent move for Indians
This refers to the news report ‘Indians told to register on online database — Aim to build comprehensive database of expats working and residing in the UAE, (Khaleej Times, December 17).
First of all, let me thank and congratulate the Indian embassy here on taking such an initiative for building a comprehensive database of 2.2 to 2.3 million Indians working and residing in the UAE with the aim to render assistance during unfortunate contingencies.
During my more than 36 years of practicing law in the UAE and having been involved in several social activities for the betterment of our people, this is probably the first time our Embassy/Consulate has come out with such a noble idea. Congratulations!
