I am neither a follower of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) nor the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). I am not a politician, but just an Indian who believes in Hindu rituals and traditions.
I do not agree with the opinion shared by Jayati Ghosh (Women's wall, a potent symbol of possibility; KT, Jan. 11). I am a devotee of Lord Ayyappa, and Ghosh's article hurt our family's belief and faith. I believe whatever is happening in Kerala at the moment is with the blessing of the state government and it isn't good. The chief minister should take responsibility.
I am from Kerala and was an admirer of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan until recently.
However, the way he has handled the situation after floods and now the Sabarimala issue, has disappointed many. I was among the first in my circle of friends and colleagues who rushed to contribute to the chief minister's relief fund for flood victims, but I regret the decision. The relief didn't reach all as we had expected.
