Congratulations to Jokha Al Harthi for being the first writer from the Middle East to be nominated for The Man Booker International Prize 2019. It's such a proud moment! Her book Celestial Bodies set in the village of Oman is a beautiful portrayal of the life of three Arab sisters growing up in a traditional society and revolves around family's losses and love. Our best wishes are with the author. Making it to this literary award is a great accomplishment, and we hope she wins the Man Booker International Prize 2019 as well.
