Kobe will remain in our hearts and inspire people

The death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna in a helicopter crash that killed seven more came as a shock. The world of sports has lost a star, a personality that transcended the traditional court and become a household name. NBA Commissioner put it succinctly when he said, "Kobe showed us what is possible when remarkable talent blends with an absolute devotion to winning." He left us too soon.
My twin grandsons are basketball players and admire Kobe Bryant. They, like many kids around the world, woke up to the sad news of his demise. Kobe will remain in our hearts and continue to inspire people. RIP, star.
