Is Trump bluffing?

The killing of Qassem Soleimani, Iran's Quds Force commander, by a US drone in Baghdad has ignited a new flash point. It's a challenge for Pakistan's foreign office to realistically evaluate this without giving in to Trump phobia and not compromise national interest for political gains. Pakistan should certainly not get trapped in this like previous administrations of Zia ul Haq and Pervez Musharraf did on the Afghan issue.
It is good that the Iraqi parliament has unanimously passed a resolution demanding withdrawal of US troops from Iraqi soil. It was after sensational revelation made by Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi that he was asked by US President Trump to mediate between the US and Iran. In fact, General Qassem had come to Iraq to talk to the Iranian leader when he was killed by US drone attack. US President Donald Trump seems to care less for peace in the region. The 2020 election would be a serious matter of concern for Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
