Dubai — Union Coop, the largest consumer cooperative in the UAE, has been awarded the Dubai Chamber Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Label for the eighth consecutive year.
This is a recognition of the retail pioneer’s distinguished efforts in the field of corporate social responsibility and its commitment to developing responsible practices, its role in supporting vital sectors through participation and organising community initiatives and environment-friendly activities.
Following safety practices amidst the global coronavirus pandemic, this year the ‘Dubai Chamber CSR Label Ceremony H1 2020’ was conducted online.
Dr Suhail Al Bastaki, director of happiness and marketing department, said: “Community contribution makes the core of Union Coop’s belief system and winning the Dubai Chamber CSR Label for the eighth consecutive year demonstrates the performance of Union Coop as a national economic entity, which makes effective community contribution with high goals and tangible performance indicators to meet the aspirations of our wise leadership.”
The Dubai Chamber CSR Labels are considered the highest level of recognition for the CSR efforts of businesses.
