The honour was presented by the Chancellor of the University Princess Anne in a ceremony marked by the full pageantry that accompany one of Britain’s oldest academic traditions.
This distinction is among the most prestigious academic honours in the United Kingdom. Foundation Day is the University of London’s signature annual event, commemorating its royal charter of 1836 and celebrating more than a century of scholarship, and public service.
