Taxation Society hosts ‘Tax Ready 2026’ conference on UAE’s evolving tax framework

The Taxation Society successfully hosted its flagship conference ‘Tax Ready 2026: Navigating UAE’s Evolving Tax Framework’ at the Dusit Thani Dubai Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai. The half-day conference brought together tax professionals, finance leaders, and business owners to gain practical clarity on the UAE’s rapidly evolving tax landscape as the country prepares for 2026.
The event commenced with opening remarks by Bhawna Chopra, secretary, followed by addresses from Nimish Makvana, president, and Naveen Sharma, chairman of the Taxation Society.
The conference was graced by Mirza Al Sayegh, member of the Board of Trustees, Al Maktoum Foundation, UAE, as chief guest, and Dr Surender Singh Kandhari, Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awardee and chairman of Al Dobowi Group, as guest of honour and keynote speaker. The technical sessions were delivered by renowned experts from Young Global. Yedukondalu Mallela, director – Indirect Taxes, spoke on ‘UAE E-Invoicing Kickoff: Key Preparations & VAT Health Check Insights,’ offering practical guidance on readiness and compliance. Marat Tastambetov, director – corporate tax, presented on ‘UAE Pillar 2 and Corporate Tax Updates,’ providing clarity on global minimum tax implications and recent developments. The session on ‘UAE Transfer Pricing Considerations for FY25’ was jointly addressed by Rishi Sapra, founder and CEO, and Jyoti Shukla, manager – transfer pricing, covering key compliance expectations and risk areas.
The conference participants left better equipped to navigate compliance requirements and align their tax strategies with the UAE’s evolving regulatory framework. The Taxation Society reaffirmed its commitment to empowering professionals through timely and relevant knowledge-sharing initiatives.
