The 41st edition of the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) is the biggest-ever edition of the renowned gem and jewellery B2B trade show, organised by India’s apex trade body, the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).

With the theme “Brilliant Bharat – Architecture of India”, IIJS Premiere 2025 aims to generate billions of dollars in export business, backed by several favourable policy developments such as the recently concluded India-UK Free Trade Agreement and the much-anticipated India-US bilateral trade agreement.

Chief guest Rahul Narwekar, Speaker of the Maharashtra State Legislative Assembly, inaugurated the world’s second-largest gem and jewellery B2B exhibition – IIJS Premiere 2025 – at the JIO World Convention Centre (JWCC) in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai.

GJEPC chairman Kirit Bhansali, vice chairman Shaunak Parikh, convener – National Exhibitions Nirav Bhansali, and executive director Sabyasachi Ray, along with members of the Committee of Administration (COA), welcomed several esteemed dignitaries and guests including Pavel Marynichev, CEO, ALROSA, and Ajoy Chawla, CEO – Jewellery Division (and incumbent MD), The Titan Company Ltd.

IIJS Premiere 2025 runs until August 3 at JWCC, Mumbai, and until August 4 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), NESCO Goregaon, Mumbai.

This year, the event spans 135,000 sq m (1.45 million sq ft) of exhibition space — larger than many comparable shows in the western world. With over 3,600 stalls and 2,100 exhibitors, IIJS Premiere 2025 is expected to attract more than 50,000 visitors from 1,300 Indian cities and over 3,000 international buyers from 80+ countries.

A key highlight this year is the Select Club – an exclusive high-end couture jewellery section featuring 118 exhibitors known for elegant designs and cutting-edge craftsmanship. The Select Club is being hosted at Jasmine Hall, 3rd Floor, JWCC, BKC, Mumbai.

Speaking at the inauguration, Narwekar said: "The gem and jewellery business is very special to me, as it all began from Zaveri Bazaar, Dagina Bazaar and Dhanji Street, which are part of my Colaba constituency. IIJS, organised by GJEPC, reflects the remarkable growth and global success of India’s gem and jewellery sector. The entire world now has its eyes on the Indian market, which is among the world’s top four economies. With a large proportion of youth, India is one of the most promising and dynamic markets globally."
