Liwa College introduces MBA programme: Bridging academic knowledge with practical business expertise

The Faculty of Business at Liwa College has officially launched its Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) programme, marking a significant milestone as the institution’s first-ever master’s degree offering. This initiative reflects the college’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation in business education.

The programme is designed to equip students with advanced leadership skills and practical expertise, preparing them to navigate the dynamic business environment at both local and global levels. It aims to empower them to tackle complex business challenges and drive strategic growth.

The MBA curriculum has been carefully structured to provide students with in-depth knowledge, enabling them to analyse market complexities, make data-driven strategic decisions, and anticipate future business trends. Adopting a multidisciplinary approach, the program enhances students’ ability to interpret business data, develop strategic solutions, and adapt to the rapidly changing economic and managerial landscape.

Furthermore, it focuses on leadership development, equipping graduates with the skills to manage diverse teams, lead change initiatives, and foster innovation in competitive business settings. Dr Anas Al-Qudah, Dean of the Faculty of Business, highlighted that launching the MBA programme demonstrates the college’s dedication to providing a world-class education that keeps pace with global advancements in business and management. He noted that the program offers a comprehensive understanding of key areas such as strategic management, digital transformation, data analytics, innovation, and sustainability.

He further emphasised that the curriculum blends academic rigor with practical application, offering students opportunities to participate in real-world projects and case studies in collaboration with leading business organizations, thus enhancing their employability.

"This programme opens up a wide range of career opportunities for graduates, preparing them for leadership positions in industries such as finance, consulting, marketing, operations, and technology management. It also offers diverse career pathways, including roles in business consulting, financial analysis, marketing strategy, operations management, and executive leadership, equipping them with the skills to become strategic leaders in their fields," Dr Al-Qudah stated.

Professor Mohammed Dhiaf, President of Liwa College, described the approval of the MBA programme as a landmark achievement for the institution, given that it is the first master’s programme to be introduced. He emphasized that this step aligns with the College’s ambitious vision of providing advanced education that supports sustainable development and enhances the competitiveness of national talent in the job market. According to him, the MBA programme at Liwa College is not just an academic qualification but an immersive learning experience aimed at developing innovative leaders capable of adapting to the evolving global business landscape.
