JSS Private School, Dubai, has earned international acclaim as Team Soaring Eagles secured the Junior Designer of the Year title at the Junk Kouture Festival of Creativity & Circularity – World Final ’25, held in Dublin. The prestigious global platform celebrates sustainable fashion and young creative talent from Ireland, the UK, France, the USA, Italy, and the UAE.

Representing the UAE, Grace Manadan, Aadya Boddanapalli, and Khushi Jani impressed the judges with a powerful couture sculpture crafted entirely from coconut husk and repurposed materials. Guided by their educator Gwen Dickson, the team transformed discarded elements into a compelling artistic statement.

Their design paid tribute to the resilience of women from India, the Philippines, and Indonesia who continue to face inequality, low wages, and limited opportunities. The piece stood out for both its craftsmanship and its strong social narrative.

Reflecting on their journey, the team shared: "Junk Kouture gave us the confidence to push beyond our limits and think innovatively. This global platform gave us a powerful voice to advocate for the planet, connect with fellow innovators around the world, and show that fashion can be both artistic and purposeful."

Principal Chitra Sharma expressed her pride and excitement at the achievement, stating: "This remarkable accomplishment reflects the depth of talent, commitment, and values nurtured at JSS Private School. Watching our students present a message of sustainability and social awareness on a global stage fills us with immense pride. Their success in Dublin is not just a victory for the team, but for our entire school community."

The win reinforces JSS Private School’s commitment to creativity, sustainability, and global citizenship.
