Back-to-back racing weekend showcases rising talent and decisive mid-season championship moments

Sharjah hosted one of the most competitive weekends of the 2025/2026 IAME UAE Series as Rounds 4 and 5 unfolded in a double-header format on 23 and 24 November 2025. Warm 25-degree conditions, combined with the technical demands of Sharjah Kart Track, set the stage for two days of close racing, emerging talent, and pivotal championship developments.
Known for its tight rhythm and limited overtaking opportunities, the circuit once again played a decisive role in shaping mid-season racecraft across all categories. As the IAME UAE Series continues to accelerate the growth of grassroots motorsport in the region, its foundations remain linked to IAME’s global legacy. Established in Italy in 1968, IAME is widely recognised as the world leader in kart engine manufacturing. In the UAE, the series matured through RAK Track in Ras Al Khaimah, which first introduced the IAME Championship to the country and helped build the structured national ecosystem seen today.
Saturday’s Round 4 opened with intense competition across every class. In Bambino, Mark Ristic delivered a confident drive to secure victory ahead of Samuel Karajkovic, who kept the pressure high, while Yousef Alkhayyat completed the podium. The Mini category saw a commanding performance from Francesco Lisignoli, who held off a charging Benjamin Karajkovic, with Charlie Page finishing third after a consistent run.
In Junior, Henry King produced a sharp and controlled drive to take the win, staying ahead of a determined Mitansh Jain, while Veer Chopra claimed third with strong pace throughout. The Senior category delivered equally fierce racing, with Rayan Koreishi taking victory ahead of Jagrat Detroja and Jeremy Montgomery-Swan. In Senior/170, Yousif Busenad produced one of the weekend’s most dominant performances, finishing ahead of Alexandros Annivas and Arsene Djolovic, who impressed in his novice outing.
Sunday’s Round 5 built on the momentum with another day of wheel-to-wheel action. In Bambino, Samuel Karajkovic reversed Saturday’s result with a confident win, holding off Ristic in a close fight, while Sam Testa completed the podium. The Mini Final featured impressive pace from Ilyas Sami, who defended his lead under late pressure to secure victory. Benjamin Karajkovic finished just 0.213 seconds behind in second, with Baptiste Augustin charging through to third.
The Junior class delivered one of the standout drives of the weekend as Nathan Kappen carved his way through the field to take victory, staying ahead of a late charge from teammate Mitansh Jain. Aaryan Singh maintained strong pace to secure third. In Senior, a composed drive from Jeremy Montgomery-Swan earned him a well-managed win over Adam Elbassiony, with Jules Domont completing the top three. The Senior/170 class closed the weekend with another strong contest, led by Oscar Bray’s convincing victory ahead of Annivas and Djolovic.
Media Friends, the official media and broadcast partner of the IAME UAE Series, provided comprehensive weekend coverage through live updates, driver reactions, and social media reporting, bringing fans across the region closer to the action.
Commenting on the weekend, Giovanni Dezzani, CEO of Media Friends, said: "Sharjah always brings out the best in our drivers. The level of competition this weekend was exceptional and reflects how much talent is developing across every category. The atmosphere, the racing, and the commitment from the teams all highlight how strong karting has become in the UAE. We are proud to share this journey with the community, and the season is only getting more exciting."
With the double-header complete, attention now turns to one of the calendar’s most anticipated venues. Rounds 6 and 7 of the IAME UAE Series will take place at Yas Marina Circuit on 3–4 January 2026, where drivers will battle for crucial mid-season championship points on one of the world’s most iconic racetracks.
