Double-header weekend at Yas Marina Circuit reinforces the championship’s growth and competitive depth

The 2025-26 IAME UAE season continued its momentum at Yas Marina Circuit, where rounds 6 and 7 were contested over Saturday (January 3, 2026) and Sunday (January 4, 2026). Set against the iconic Formula 1 venue, the weekend delivered competitive racing across all categories, with drivers adapting to the circuit’s flowing layout, long straights, and heavy braking zones.
Saturday’s action saw strong performances from both established front-runners and emerging talents. In the Bambino category, Sam Testa set the pace to secure victory, followed by Mark Ristic and Robert Oganyan, who completed the top three after a closely matched session.
The Mini class produced another competitive outing, with Benjamin Karajkovic taking the win ahead of Edin Keserovic, while Francesco Lisignoli claimed third place after maintaining consistent pace throughout the race.
In Junior, Maxim Bobreshov delivered a controlled drive to take first place, holding off pressure from Mitansh Jain, with Gabriele Baricodi finishing third.
The Senior category saw Eloi Gonzalez Moreno emerge on top after a measured performance, ahead of Jeremy Montgomery-Swan, while Adam Elbassiony secured third.
In Senior/170, Oscar Bray continued his strong form to take the win, followed by Arsene Djolovic and Alexandros Annivas.
Sunday’s racing built on the intensity of the opening day, with several categories decided by narrow margins. In the Bambino category, Samuel Karajkovic topped the classification, edging out Robert Oganyan, while Mark Ristic completed the podium after another competitive run.
The Mini Final delivered one of the closest battles of the weekend, as Charlie Page took victory for Xcel Motorsport, crossing the line just 0.201 seconds ahead of Ilyas Sami, with Baptiste Augustin securing third.
In the Junior Final, Mitansh Jain returned to the top step with a confident drive, holding off Leonidas Peruzzi, while Henry King completed the podium after a steady and controlled race.
The Senior Final saw Eloi Gonzalez Moreno repeat his strong performance from Saturday, securing another win ahead of Jeremy Montgomery-Swan, with Maximillian Dexter finishing third.
In Senior/170, Oscar Bray once again led the field to victory, followed by Yousif Busenad in second and Alexandros Annivas in third.
