The event marked Futurescaper’s first major initiative in the UAE and achieved notable success, both in terms of participation and the depth of discussion around climate action and ESG priorities

The inaugural Sustainability 2040 Awards, organised by UAE-based sustainability consulting firm Futurescaper Middle East in partnership with Khaleej Times, brought together a strong cross-section of leading businesses in Dubai, signalling growing corporate momentum behind the country’s green transition. Held at Taj, Business Bay, the event marked Futurescaper’s first major initiative in the UAE and achieved notable success, both in terms of participation and the depth of discussion around climate action and ESG priorities.
Among the organisations recognised for their contributions to sustainable business practices were Emirates Global Aluminium, NMDC Group, Enoc Processing Co (EPCL), Hotpack Packaging Industries, Chalhoub Group, RAK Ceramics, GEMS Education, Apparel Group, Danube Home, Aramex International, Virgin Megastore (Azadea Group), Jaleel Essential Food Industries, Accuro Specialist Support Services, Safco International General Trading, Jaleel Traders LLC, NMDC Energy, EEE Technologies DWC, Priyankara, Crosswell Logistics, Modern Plastic Industry, and Jaleel Distribution.
Their participation highlighted how sustainability is increasingly embedded across diverse sectors — from energy and logistics to retail, education, manufacturing, and plastics.
Commenting on the UAE’s sustainability trajectory, Manish Lath, director at Futurescaper Middle East, said: "The UAE has stepped up its sustainability agenda through net-zero commitments, large-scale renewable energy investments, and enhanced ESG disclosure expectations, positioning the country as a regional hub for green growth."
Futurescaper aims to support this shift by offering ESG strategy development, net-zero roadmaps, and sustainability reporting services tailored to UAE-based organisations, helping businesses translate national sustainability targets into measurable corporate action. For businesses, the case for sustainability is increasingly compelling. International analyses indicate that existing energy-efficiency measures alone could deliver more than 40 per cent of the emissions reductions required by mid-century, while companies with strong sustainability performance often benefit from reduced risk exposure and improved access to capital.
By connecting global insights with local best practices through platforms such as the Sustainability 2040 Awards, Futurescaper and its partners are helping to turn ambition into tangible progress — one UAE business at a time.
