Forttuna Global Excellence Awards 2025 honour purpose-driven leadership across sectors in Dubai

Global leaders from business, healthcare, technology and sustainability recognised at the two-day Global Edition hosted at JA Resorts & Hotels, Soul Beach

The Forttuna Global Excellence Awards 2025 – Global Edition, an intellectual property of The Forttuna Group, concluded with a two-day gathering on December 5 and 6 at JA Resorts & Hotels, Soul Beach, Dubai, celebrating purpose-driven leadership and innovation across business, healthcare, technology, and sustainability.
Organised by The Forttuna Group and hosted by Dr. Raul Handa and Aditii Handa, the awards brought together more than 600 distinguished delegates from 84 countries, reinforcing the platform’s standing as a global forum for leadership recognition. The event was also livestreamed worldwide, attracting over 10,000 virtual viewers and underscoring its expanding international reach.
The 2025 Global Edition marked a significant milestone for the platform. According to organisers, more than 2.17 million digital profiles were screened using AI-led evaluation processes, with 87,946 interviews conducted and participation recorded from 102 countries, highlighting both the scale and depth of the awards’ global footprint.
Among the honourees, Prof. Dr Med. Omid Majdani was named ENT Surgeon of the Year in recognition of his contributions to clinical excellence and advanced surgical care. Based in Wolfsburg, Germany, he heads the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat Medicine, Head and Neck Surgery at Klinikum Wolfsburg, the medical campus of the University Medical Center Göttingen. His department treats more than 8,000 patients annually, offering advanced ENT procedures including cochlear implants and complex nasal and middle-ear surgeries.
The Sustainability Visionary Leader of the Year award was presented to Dr. Maite Ibarretxe, an international sustainability and innovation strategist recognised for embedding sustainability into long-term business and institutional frameworks. Her work spans Europe and Latin America, with a focus on aligning sustainability initiatives with measurable economic and social outcomes.
In the technology category, Mark Minevich received the AI and Digital Transformation Leader of the Year award. As president of Going Global Ventures and Strategic Partner at Mayfield, he is actively engaged in advancing artificial intelligence applications across industries, addressing challenges such as infrastructure resilience, resource optimisation, and global development.
The CEO of the Year award was conferred on Nikolay Sudarikov, co-founder of Hypothesis3, for his leadership in enterprise technology and AI-driven strategic decision-making platforms. His organisation works with enterprises across the UK, European Union, and the MENA region.
The Forttuna Global Excellence Awards continue to recognise leaders whose work delivers meaningful social, economic, and institutional impact, while fostering global collaboration and responsible innovation across industries.
