Union Coop, a renowned hypermarket brand in Dubai and one of the largest consumer cooperatives in the UAE, had allocated an amount of Dh8 million for its weekend promotional cam-paign, which ended on Friday. The campaign ‘First Call’ aimed to reduce the prices of a wide variety of food and non-food products, in addition to fresh products and electronics.
It included more than 10,000 products with discounts of up to 75 per cent.Dr Suhail Al Bastaki, direc-tor of the happiness and mar-keting department, had said: “We expect a surge in sales of about 40 per cent during this campaign, as we are offering discounts up to 75 per cent on more than 10,000 food and non-food products from over 100 categories that meet con-sumer needs.
â€He pointed out that despite the tough situation created by the Covid-19 pandemic, Union Coop were happy to ease the burden on consumers by providing goods at com-petitive prices through pro-motions and discounts while reassuring them of steady availability of goods at re-duced prices since this is one of its major strategic goals.
