Dawoodi Bohra Community hosts Suhoor gathering promoting unity and tolerance in the UAE

On February 27, 2026, members of the Dawoodi Bohra community in the UAE, in association with the Emirates Society of Tolerance and Happiness (ESOTAH), hosted a special Ramadan Suhoor gathering that brought together community members, dignitaries, and guests from diverse backgrounds in a spirit of unity and goodwill. The event served as an opportunity to strengthen bonds and celebrate the shared values of tolerance, compassion, and community during the holy month of Ramadan.
The gathering was attended by counsellor Dr Ahmed Salem Sudain Al Balushi, vice-chairman of the board of directors of ESOTAH, along with business leaders, educators, and senior members from various communities.
Kinana Jamaluddin, representative of Sultan Al Bohra, addressed the audience and conveyed a message from Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, highlighting the importance of harmony, service to society, and nurturing strong relationships across communities.
In his remarks, Dr Ahmed spoke about the UAE’s enduring commitment to tolerance and coexistence, the nation’s visionary leadership, and the shared aspiration for peace and unity among all who call the UAE home.
The evening concluded with a traditional Suhoor meal, followed by warm conversations and networking, creating an atmosphere of friendship and mutual respect. The gathering stood as a meaningful example of interfaith engagement and community spirit, reflecting the true essence of Ramadan.
