Vachani also reiterated the fact that Al Maya is proud to serve the largest expat population of Indians in the UAE and other GCC countries, through a network of more than 50 supermarkets across Gulf nations.

At the event, Dr Ahmed Abdul Rahman Albanna, UAE Ambassador to India, as well as Dr Aman Puri, Consul-General of India in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, were present.

The minister appreciated Al Maya’s efforts for promoting Indian products in Gulf markets. He said the UAE and India are ideal partners for the food industry because India is 70 per cent agrarian while the UAE is a pioneer in food security strategy.
