In the initial phase, the medical services at the new clinic will be delivered by doctors from King’s College Hospital London – Dubai. The clinic will offer a comprehensive range of specialties for both adults and children, with consultants from Dubai attending regularly to see patients.
This approach ensures that patients in Bahrain can access the best of British healthcare through western-trained consultants locally, without the need to travel.
For major procedures or surgeries, patients will be seamlessly referred to King’s College Hospital London – Dubai, ensuring continuity of care and a coordinated treatment journey.
As part of its rollout in Bahrain, King’s College Hospital London – Dubai will open several specialty clinics. The first, focused on neurosciences, is scheduled to open in January, with paediatrics to follow shortly thereafter. Additional specialties will include general surgery, liver transplant, orthopaedics, and other services. Each clinic will be supported by consultants from Dubai and aligned with King’s clinical governance standards.
The launch of King’s Bahrain marks another milestone in the expansion of UK-led healthcare standards across the GCC. It strengthens long-standing ties between Bahrain, the UAE, and the UK, and reflects King’s commitment to making specialist care more accessible to patients closer to home.
