What is the number one item on your lust list?

A Maserati Quattroporte — that would be my dream car!

Your favourite vacation spot is…

Thailand. It’s amazing how you can travel through rainforests (Chiang Mai), explore a bustling city (Bangkok), get lost on a secluded island (Koh Tao) and spend a few days on a party island (Koh Samui) — all in one country! Better still, it’s very affordable and easy to hop around.

Who would you like to be reborn as, and why?

Myself. If I had any memory of my previous life, it would be like knowing the future. If I didn’t, then I certainly hope I make the same choices, and one day find myself right where I am now.

Your fitness mantra…

Firstly, eat well — which takes a bit of self-control as you start out, but then it just beco-mes a part of you. Secondly, find yourself a sport you love and test your limits. My sport of choice is running and I’m working hard at cutting my 10k time down at the moment!

The first thing you think about when you wake up in the morning?

Where is my phone!

The app on your smartphone you click on most often…

Boxer — which is what I use to manage my email, and Tripadvisor Dubai City Guide, which I use to find restaurants, and where I always leave reviews.

Your favourite hangout in the UAE is…

Home! On weekends, I turn into a couch potato. Else, Safa Park for a BBQ — which is great when the sun in shining.

A way in which you are trying to change your life this year…

I’m determined to become a seriously fast runner. To do this, I will have to change a lot about myself, as I must find more time to train, eat better and become much stronger and faster.

Your favourite movie character of all time?

Indiana Jones, because his life is full of adve-nture. He is smart, courageous and a humble person as opposed to most modern day hotshot stars.

Your favourite cuisine and favourite restaurant in Dubai is…

Japanese at Kiku, Le Meridien Dubai. The food is very authentic and, every time I visit, I find a lot of Japanese people also dining there. It’s surprisingly well priced and a memorable location for me personally, as this is where I first met my wife!
