It was a night to forget for Royal Challengers Bangalore and their skipper Virat Kohli after the KL Rahul show sunk them into the deep waters. And while admitting it hurt, Kohli said they will just have to move on and work on their errors.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore were floored by KL Rahul, whose record-breaking second IPL hundred saw Kings XI Punjab stroll to an emphatic victory at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Kohli couldn't fire with the bat in a stiff chase and the evening had already begun in the worst possible way for the Indian skipper as he spilled catches. Normally, a top-notch fielder at any given position, Kohli dropped Rahul not once but twice, losing the ball under the lights of the 'Ring of Fire.'
And Kohli fronted up by saying he didn't lead from the front.
"I have to stand in front and take the brunt of it," Kohli said at the post-match presentation.

"It cost us about 30-40 runs. If we'd restricted them at 180 we wouldn't have felt pressure to go from ball one. There are days when you have these kinds of things happen. We just have to accept them. We havve had a good game, we have had a bad game. Time to move on. We need to learn to plug those little mistakes," he added.
He also defended the move of sending young wicketkeeper-batsman Josh Philippe at No.3 with Kohli coming at No.4 and AB de Villiers at five. Philippe batted at No.6 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the opening game. This, he said, was to give them depth when it came to the mid-segment of the innings.
"He (Philippe) has batted at the top of the order for Western Australia and done well at the Big Bash as well. It is still early days but we tried to see if we can maximise his ability. We just thought chasing a big total, we will give ourselves a bit of depth in the middle overs. But it just didn't come off. It was just one of the things you tried and couldn't execute," revealed Kohli.
