Indian captain Virat Kohli's penchant for perfection is well known and the Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper is leaving no stone unturned ahead of this season's Indian Premier League (IPL) in the UAE.
Apart from raising the benchmark when it comes to his supreme fitness, as well as spending hours in the nets, honing his batting skills, Kohli is making sure his weapons are in top shape too.
The 31-year-old is getting his bats battle-ready for the IPL which begins on September 19. The Royal Challengers Bangalore begin their campaign against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 21.
And for Kohli, whose attention to the minutest of details is exemplary, feels that even a couple of centimetres counts when it comes to getting the balance right on his bats.
In a video posted on his official Twitter handle, which was later retweeted by the Royal Challengers Bangalore, the batting ace is seen cutting the handle on one of his seven bats with a saw.

After getting the perfect cut, Kohli checks to see if the balance is right and seems quite delighted with the feel as he smiles and gives a thumbs up.
"It's the small details that matter. For me even couple of centimetres are crucial for the balance of a bat. I LOVE taking care of my bats," the caption read.
