A dramatic footage showing a pilot manoeuvring a plane amidst strong winds brought by Storm Callum and safely landing at Bristol Airport, England, has surfaced online.

On October 12, strong winds blew directly across the runway and caused a TUI Airways Boeing 757-200 plane to sway while approaching the runway, unable to fly straight in the final moments of the descent.

The video shows the pilot safely landing the plane, sideways, before correcting the plane's direction.

"Aircraft need to compensate for the crosswind, otherwise they will be blown off course. They do this by pointing their nose into the direction the wind is coming from, demonstrated perfectly by this crew," explained Mraviationguy, a UK-based YouTuber who regularly films aviation videos. He added, "It is always fascinating to watch planes landing in strong crosswinds and it is fantastic to see such amazing skill by the pilots."
