The UAE Consulate in Melbourne just issued a warning to its citizens living or studying in the city of Melbourne.

The post reads: "We ask all our citizens studying abroad in Melbourne to take extreme precaution after the security breach that took place in the city centre.
"We ask that everyone remain as far as possible from the area of the incident.
"Follow the security guidelines issued by the security forces in the area."
An attacker in Melbourne was shot by police after he set fire to a pickup truck laden with gas cylinders in the centre of Melbourne and stabbed three people, killing one.
The attacker died later in hospital.
