A van on the runway to Hong Kong International Airport burst into flames recently.
The blaze was brought under control by the firefighters, who were pressed into service immediately, reported Coconuts Hong Kong. It was apparently caused by the overheating of the vehicle's engine.
The video of the van on fire went viral. It showed the vehicle - which was parked next to a Hong Kong Airlines jet - engulfed in flames. The van was completely charred and its photos were circulated on closed Facebook groups.

The van was a light goods vehicle belonging to Pan Asia Pacific Aviation Services Limited (PAPA), HK01 reported.
PAPA is a company that provides cleaning services, as well as aircraft ground handling and line maintenance for planes at Hong Kong airport.
A police spokesperson was quoted by Coconuts HK as saying that they received a report that a van parked on the tarmac was on fire, and that firefighters put out the blaze in 22 minutes.
The spokesperson said that no one was injured in the incident and that the fire was believed to have been caused by the vehicle's engine overheating. An investigation has been launched to ascertain the reason behind the blaze.
