UAE issues weather warning to Emiratis in Seoul

The UAE Embassy in in Seoul, South Korea has issued an advisory to its citizens residing or visiting the country due to Typhoon Soulik affecting the Korean Peninsula.
The embassy in its official Twitter account said, "Due to Hurricane Soulik, the UAE Embassy in Seoul advises UAE nationals to take precautions and follow the safety instructions issued by the Korean authorities."
"For emergencies, please call  00821067444401 or contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs call centre at 80044444 and register with my MoFAI," the embassy tweeted.



After grazing southern Japan, Severe Tropical Storm Soulik is on track to sweep across the Korean Peninsula through Friday.
According to AccuWeather report, Soulik reached the equivalent of a Category 3 major hurricane in the Atlantic or eastern Pacific basins at its peak. Soulik has since weakened to a severe tropical storm.
"The most significant damaging wind will occur from Jeju Island into western South Korea, with the strongest winds along coastal areas," said AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Thompson. "Wind gusts could exceed 100 mph (160 km/h) on Jeju Island and over the southwestern corner of South Korea."
Residents and tourists will need to keep a close eye on local advisories and take heed of any evacuation orders. Electricity, safe drinking water, transportation and other basic services may be unavailable on the island for several days or more following Soulik's departure.
