A man in China came up with a unique idea to stay fit. He built a swimming pool on the terrace of the building he stayed in, albeit illegally. According to Shanghaiist, the man identified as Lan Mou, built the pool on the terrace of his seven floor residential building in Zhaotong city in China's Yunnan province.
The illegal pool landed him in a legal soup as several complaints were reported with the inspection officials. According to The Paper reports quoted in NDTV, the swimming pool which is about a meter deep and can hold around 40,000 litres of water, added extra weight to the building.
Mou has been ordered to dismantle the illegal construction and may also be subjected to other penalties.
Last year, a luxury residential building in Texas, USA, was in the news for its special 'Sky Pool', constructed on the 40th floor of the high-rise. The pool extended 10 feet beyond the edge of the building to give a feel of swimming in the sky with a bird's eye view of the city.
