"She came to our shop with her savings, with coins summing up to less than 2,500," said one of the staff.

Staff were moved when a woman in the Philippines paid for her daughter's first mobile phone using coins and small bills.

According to Filipino Times, employees at a store in Lapu-Lapu City saw the woman, identified as Vilma Jayme, counting out coins and some small bills to buy the phone on Friday. The woman reportedly wanted to buy the phone for her daughter to use for studies.

"She came to our shop with her savings, with coins summing up to less than 2,500," said one of the staff.

The heartwarming story has amassed more than 13,000 reactions since the store employees shared it online.
