The UAE's Ambassador to Pakistan has gifted a fully furnished flat in Islamabad to a widowed fruit vendor and her four children. The ambassador, Hamad Obaid Alzaabi, fulfilled the fruit seller's wishes with "generous support" from the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charitable and Humanitarian Establishment.
The UAE Embassy in Pakistan took to Twitter on Saturday to share the photos of the woman, Yasmin, at her new home.
Last year, Jalal Sherazi, speaker of the House at Provincial Youth Assembly, detailed the fruit vendor's plight of selling fruits because her husband had passed away. The tweet read: "She is Yasmeen, she has three daughters and a son studying in class 2 and her husband died. As she has no other option, she is struggling to feed her kids."

After that, ambassador Alzaabi visited the fruit vendor and even took some photos with her at her stall. Alzaabi said Yasmeen was a "great example of Pakistani women".
Reacting to the news that Yasmin got her own fully furnished flat, Sherazi tweeted: "Life is all about humanity and service of the masses. Alhamdulillah, after my tweet on her struggling life, the (UAE) ... government finally built a home for her."
