Pakistani military spokesman, Major General Asif Ghafoor, recently shared on Twitter the World Crime Index where Karachi now stands at 70th place - falling from 6th place - with Washington, London, and Rome behind.
Sindh's capital has gone from being one of the top 10 cities with most crimes to being a city with the least crime rate.

"Karachi at one point in time (2014) was 6th in World Crime Index. Today it's at 70th with many first world cities behind," Major Ghafoor tweeted.

He went on to thank the Civil Administration and Security Forces for their efforts in fighting crime in the city. He also gave credit to Karachi's citizens for this major drop in crime rate.
