In a tragic incident at a Karachi hospital, a newborn babygirl sustained serious burn injuries when the incubator she was kept inside in caught fire.
The incident took place at National Institute of Child Health (NICH) on Thursday after the incubator caught fire due to a short circuit, ARY News reported. The accident was confirmed by the hospital and an investigation has been initiated into the matter.
Earlier in June 2012, at least seven newborn babies had died while nine others received severe burn injuries after a fire broke out in the neonatal ward of Lahore's Service Hospital.
