Former Pakistani model and freelance journalist Annie Ali Khan was found dead inside her residence in Karachi on Saturday.

According to a Dawn report, police recovered her body from her apartment located on the third floor of the Qasr-e-Zainab building near Karachi's red zone. The police suspect that Khan committed suicide, claiming that she may have suffocated to death after setting her books on fire.

A senior police official said that she was living alone in the flat as her husband lives abroad.
