India scripted history winning their first ever series on Australian soil beating the home team 2-1 after the fourth and final Test ended in a tame draw due to inclement weather.
India scored 622 for 7 in their first innings and then bowled out Australia for 300 thereby enforcing the follow-on.
Pakistan Prime Minister and former cricketer, Imran Khan, took to Twitter to share his congratulatory message for the Indian team. "Congratulations to Virat Kohli and the Indian cricket team for the first ever win by a subcontinent team in a test series in Australia," he shared.

The victory invited praise from former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar. He posted a message on Twitter saying, "Congratulations to Team India for a historic series victory Down Under. One of the toughest tours in world cricket is a Test Series in Australia. It was a great effort and they kept Aussies under pressure throughout."
