The element of self-confidence has acquired a new meaning when it comes to Mohammad Kaif Mulla, a student of St Xavier's English Medium High School in Belgaum.
According to Zee News, the Class 10 had attained 624 out of 625 marks in the Karnataka State Board Class 10 exams. The score had him stand second in the entire southwest Indian state of Karnataka.
However, Mohammad Kaif was extremely confident that he had answered all of the exam questions correctly, a notion which led him to apply for a reevaluation of his paper.
Following the reevaluation, he received the one mark that he had lost which made him the SSLC exam topper in the state.
A report in the Deccan Herald also states that Mohammad Kaif has received 100% marks in all of the subjects that he had attempted an exam for, with the exception of Science where his score was 99 per cent. He had later received that 1 mark after sending his paper for reevaluation.
