In horrific incident, a 20-year-old stabbed his brother for not letting him watch TV late on Sunday night. The accused was watching TV in a courier company's office in LT Marg, Mumbai, where his elder brother used to work.
As the TV was disturbing other employees sleeping there, the youth was asked to turn it off. However, even after repeated requests, the accused did not pay any heed and kept watching the television, according to reports in Mid-Day.
This infuriated his elder brother who slapped him for his rude behaviour. The accused who is  HIV-positive has been never reprimanded by his family over such an attitude and thus could not handle the embarrassment of being slapped. In a fit of rage, he picked up a knife and stabbed his brother two times.
The investigating police officer said, "The accused had never heard been scolded in this manner before, and no one had ever slapped him. Full of anger, he picked up the knife, which was kept in the room, and stabbed his brother twice."
The employees rushed the elder brother to the hospital and he is said to be recovering from the stab wounds. The younger brother has been charged with attempt to murder and has been sent to jail.
