Stray dogs turn saviours for a newly born girl dumped in a sewage drain and pull her out to safety in Haryana's Kaithal town.
The shocking incident caught on CCTV installed nearby shows an identified woman throwing the infant wrapped in plastic in the wee hours of Thursday.
According to reports in India Today, hearing the infant's cries, a pack of stray went to her rescue and pulled her out of the drain. The dogs' continuous barking caught attention of the passers-by who called the police and took the baby girl to hospital.

Doctors there said the baby weighs less than 1,100 grams and her condition was reported to be serious when she was admitted to the hospital.
"The child is undergoing treatment at the Civil Hospital. We are trying to establish the identity of the woman, who will be charged under relevant sections of the IPC (Indian Penal Code)," a police official said.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case against the unidentified woman who threw the baby girl into a drain in the town.
